Choosing a GPON system means guaranteeing a solution ready for future technological developments, because it is able to support the continuous evolutions in the field of service distribution, increasingly oriented towards the IP world.

By creating a passive optical fiber system, it is therefore possible to preserve the investment for the next 20/25 years, while increasing the value of the property, thanks to its particular characteristics:

  • Active scalability. The GPON solution allows you to update every single active OLT device, automatically increasing network performance, without the need for structural interventions.
  • Passive scalability.At any time, thanks to the possibility of installing the fiber promiscuously with the power line, it is possible to implement new areas of the building that need connectivity.
  • Increase in services. With the GPON system it is possible to create up to 4096 virtual private networks (VLAN) for the integration of further services. If a greater amount of bandwidth is required, it will be possible to switch to a 10 Giga XPON solution, i.e. quadrupling the available bandwidth, simply by replacing the SFP device housed in the OLT
