Provide connectivity, television signals, VoIP telephony, video intercoms, video surveillance, and home automation to residents with a secure, high-performance solution.

To offer customers an excellent service also with regards to television offerings, a Fracarro IPTV system was installed, consisting of an aerial part for receiving satellite signals and a LAN network distribution system.

THE SYSYTEM

To ensure maximum flexibility and security in the distribution of services throughout the campus, a passive GPON fiber optic system was chosen.

This solution offers numerous advantages, providing high-performance and highly secure stable connectivity: each ONT device installed in the rooms is assigned a dedicated network, ensuring optimal protection of personal data and making passive fiber optic systems more resistant to cyberattacks than copper-based systems.

The Fracarro solution involves the installation of an Optical Line Terminal (OLT) in the building’s technical room; this device can manage up to 128 devices (video intercoms + external panels), handling data over single-mode 9/125 µm optical fiber. From the OLT, the signal is distributed to ONT optical receivers installed in the rooms or common areas.

The network is flexible and fully programmable from the central unit, allowing customization of the services received by each ONT terminal. These settings can be easily modified remotely, without the need for any hardware intervention.

PRODUCTS INSTALLED

• 4-port OLT installed in the technical room. Each port allows connection of up to 32 ONT devices.
• ONT installed in each room for the distribution of Wi-Fi network and telephony services.
• Technical PoE ONT for the management of video surveillance services, room and elevator access via badge.
